Remembrance Day is very important, even for our preschoolers. We began by speaking about the reasons why we wear a poppy, and invited the children to recreate a poppy using loose parts. We then created our class wreath made of painted egg cartons, and painted pictures of poppies. Our activities included reading the book “What does Peace feel like”, giving the children an opportunity to express feelings of peace through their five senses. Last, we welcomed a Black Watch piper to school to hear him play the bagpipes!
