In Kindergarten French class, our students dive deep into learning each of the letters of the alphabet. Class KB has been working on the letter “L” recently by learning the different sounds this letter makes depending on the word.

Using the Seesaw app, students practiced writing uppercase and lowercase letters. Bravo!

Watch news coverage of the ceremony featuring SSA students

SSA was deeply honoured and grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Yom Hashoah Commemoration at the National Field of Honour. It was a powerful and meaningful experience—one that served as an important reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the critical importance of remembering those who suffered and lost their lives during the Holocaust.

We were especially inspired by the stories shared by the dignitaries. Their words encouraged us to stand up for what is right and to continue working toward a world where such atrocities are never repeated. Each candle we lit and each stone we laid carried a message of remembrance, strength, and hope.

We were also incredibly moved by Rocco Speranza, Quebec Coordinator of No Stone Left Alone, visiting SSA. His heartfelt thanks for our participation, and his recognition of our students for representing both the elementary school community and the Jewish community, meant so much. His gesture of giving students pins, a commemorative coin, and a book made the experience even more special and unforgettable.
